Penn State Students Abroad

The reason this training is required is because the number of students going overseas is growing. This is a good thing, but increasing student travel numbers means it is increasingly possible that a student may need assistance while traveling.

National numbers indicate that over 325,000 students study abroad for academic credit. Add in non-credit travel and this number likely doubles. Penn State sends more than 6,000 students abroad every year, half for credit, half for non-credit academic activities.
